Our Seniors Social session runs on Wednesday evenings, 19:30 to 21:30 in the Games Hall, in the basement of Boroughmuir High School. The session is aimed at players who may cover a wide range of ages and levels of experience, but who have in common a desire to play friendly basketball, with a competitive edge, without entering a competitive league environment.
New Under 12 Open Session at The Crags
Blaze have launched a new weekly open session at The Crags Community Sports Centre.
The sessions are for girls and boys aged P4 – P7 who are just starting out in basketball or currently play at their school and want to develop their skills.

Under 14 Trials Now Open
Blaze are now inviting any interested players to trial for selection to the Blaze Under 14 Squad.
The under 14 squad is suited to players with school basketball experience who are keen to pursue the game at club level. Blaze offer a full pathway with squads at under 12, under 14, under 16, under 18, seniors and masters.

U16/18 Pre-season
Until the school term starts, the U16 and U18 squads will train together. From the week starting Monday 15th, our schedule will change as we will start training at Gillespie’s as well. More info to follow.

Flynn Wins Regional Coach Award
Blaze Youth National League Head Coach, Adrian Flynn, has been awarded the East/Central Performance Development Coach of the Year by basketballscotland.
The award is given for coaching at the national league, Talent Development Programme (TDP) and national team level.

Blaze Nets The Crags SC
The Crags Sports Centre is set to become a basketball hub under new plans put forward by a consortium led by a local sports club.
Boroughmuir Blaze Basketball Club joined forces with national governing body basketballscotland to submit a bid for the Council-owned Bowmont Place facility.

Blaze Enter Senior National League
Blaze are pleased to confirm that the club will enter the Senior Men National League (SNL) in 2011-12.
In recent years the club’s focus has been on developing young talent and improving the infrastructure behind the scenes. With Blaze set to take on a lease at The Crags Sport Centre, and with both u16 and u18 teams in Division 1 of the youth national leagues, the time is now right to enter a competitive team in the SNL.
